No posts in a while make this a dull site. I've been swamped with work, school and the remodeling of our movie room. I forgot to take before pictures of the movie room, so I'm debating whether or not to do a full writeup of the project. It basically consists of tearing off all the trim, wiring for sound (an adventure in itself with the way this house is constructed), fixing a few issues created by the contractors that did a half-assed job, patching, painting, replacing the trim and mounting the speakers on the walls.

I'm a big fan of removing the trim for painting. Yes, there's extra work at the end re-attaching it, but to me it's worth it. You don't have to worry about taping or having a steady hand next to the wood, and it just plain looks better to me. I think the time and frustration saved in not having to carefully cut a clean line makes up for the time spent removing and replacing the trim. A compressor and nail gun don't hurt to have around, either.

Umm...

Being up for 20 hours then drinking a glass of wine has a tendency to make your brain turn off mid-thought...
